Optimum Group B.V. receives SBTi validation for near-term science-based targets
Optimum Group B.V. has received validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term science-based targets.
The SBTi has validated that these targets are in line with the SBTi Criteria and Recommendations and are based on the latest climate science. The validated targets support limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C and contribute to the necessary, rapid and structural reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Our validated SBTi targets
Optimum Group B.V. commits to, by 2030 compared to a 2022 base year:
- reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 75.4%
- reduce absolute scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 25.0%
- ensure that 70.1% of suppliers (based on emissions from purchased goods and services) have science-based targets
What this validation means
The validation by the Science Based Targets initiative confirms that Optimum Group B.V.’s emission reduction targets have been assessed in line with the SBTi methodology and meet the applicable criteria for near-term science-based targets.
Our next step
With these validated targets, Optimum Group B.V. continues to take steps towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions across its own operations and value chain, together with suppliers and partners.
